Idea Corner/P> A New Twist On Small Groups I am totally convinced that every church must have an active small group ministry. We believe in it so much, that no one can be a member of Christ Temple unless they commit to being an active part of this ministry. It has almost totally closed “the back door” problem in our church growth strategy. Its benefits are well established. Among them are (1) provides people an environment to make and keep new friends. (2) Helps in the disciple making process. (3) Provides hands on pastoral care, and (4) becomes a powerfully door of evangelism for the church. Regardless of the format you use in your church, our recommendation is use what works for you. We now use Life Groups and target groups to facilitate our small group strategy. I would recommend to all that they explore Ted Haggards book “Dog Training, Fly Fishing and Sharing Christ in the 21st Century”. If you need direction in some of these areas our Small Group director, Sherry Ferris would be happy to speak with you. Direct your calls to the church office 972 253-4797.
